Scotsman trailer restoration update
The spars were old and broken so we replaced them with oak 1x2's |
Lots of dry rot in the rear section of the trailer so we removed the entire rear panel. |
Dry rot in the floor was cut back 20" to get to good wood. |
New piece of Mahogany plywood for the back. |
Cut out the dry rot in the corner |
Cut out and replaced. |
Windows and plumbing removed (getting ready to skin the interior) |
Sagging skin in the back was jacked up and reattached (glued and screwed) |
New sub-floor in the rear. |
End of the day. The wheels removed. We will likely replace the rims as they are in pretty bad shape. |
